Pumpkin Patch Owner to Make Donation

This Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., Leon Cumpton, owner of Papa’s Pumpkin Patch located at 4610 Forest Park Road in Sedalia, MO, has called upon Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers, from the 70th Explorers Garrison, to join him in presenting the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri with a $200 donation.

Cumpton will be making a $100 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri. An additional donation of $100 will also be made by Cumpton on behalf of the 70th Explorers Garrison for their volunteerism at this year’s Papa’s Pumpkin Patch event.

“I think the Boys & Girls Club has a great thing going and I think the kids have a good time,” said Cumpton. “It’s a good cause.”
 

About Papa’s Pumpkin Patch:
Cumpton operates Papa’s Pumpkin Patch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from September 24 through October 30. Attractions include: a hayride, games, puppet show, tire swing, corn maze, tricycle track and a pumpkin slingshot. Admission is $5 for individuals 2 through 54 years old. Seniors and infants get in free. Pumpkins, gourds, straw, corn stalks, mums, painted birdhouse gourds and antiques are also available for sale.

About 70th Explorers Garrison:
According to the 70th Explorers Garrison website, www.70thexplorers.com, they are “the world’s definitive Imperial costuming organization featuring the ‘bad guys’ from the Star Wars Universe” and their mission is to help, “local communities through fundraising, charity and promotional events.”
