Congratulations to our April Youth of the Month nominees. We’d also like to give a special thanks to McDonald’s for sponsoring YOM – each Boys & Girls Club member will receive a treat for their accomplishment.

The CLUB

Austin, 13, is the Youth of the Month because, “he has really stepped up this month and showed his leadership skills. Austin is working harder on completing his homework and showing respect to his peers and staff.”

Cole Camp Site

Carson, 12, is the Youth of the Month because, “he is very helpful, working with first graders during Power Hour and running the Torch Store.”

Dresden Site

April is the Youth of the Month because, “she comes to Club every day with a smile and a hug. She loves to participate in all of our programs, is very caring and a good friend to all and is a pleasure to have in our Club.”

Green Ridge Site

Mitchell, 12, is the Youth of the Month because, “he uses his manners all the time and comes to Club ready to learn and complete his homework.”

Heber Hunt Site

Mason, 5, is the Youth of the Month because, “he comes to Club happy and ready to complete his homework so he can have fun. His peers love playing with him and he loves being read to. We enjoy seeing his smiling face every day.”

Horace Mann Site

Rebekah, 9, is the Youth of the Month because, “she finishes her homework, doesn’t complain and is never in a bad mood. Rebekah always does what’s asked of her and is happy to be of help. She also tells funny jokes.”

La Monte Site

Jose, 11, is the Youth of the Month because, “he is someone who will hang out with a friend if they’re having a rough day. He has a kind heart and mindful spirit, making him unique among his peers.”

Leeton Site

Taylor is the Youth of the Month because, “He has become a Club member to rely on and a great mentor to younger members. He always assists staff when needed and tutors his peers. He was recommended to be YOM from a younger member and the staff wholeheartedly agreed.”

Parkview Site

Haddie is the Youth of the Month because, “she is cheerful, a good friend and always does her best. Haddie also does the right thing, even when no one is watching.”

Skyline Site

Piper, 8, is the Youth of the Month because, “she’s always willing to lend a hand to her peers and Club staff. Piper is a very positive role model for her peers helps them when they’re having trouble following the rules. She has an upbeat and positive attitude and that’s what makes the Club a fun place to be.”

Smithton Site

Anna, 10, is the Youth of the Month because, “she is very cheerful and knows how to make people laugh, always walking into Club with a huge smile on her face. Anna enjoys Healthy Habits, Life Skills, dancing and being with her friends at the Club.”

Washington Site

Jordynn is the Youth of the Month because, “she is a great leader, friendly to everyone and is always helping staff when they ask.”
