As the school year gets started the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri would like to remind parents that it will once again hold drop-in days at its downtown facility this year.

Designed to give area students a safe and fun place to go when school is not in session due to teacher service days or holidays, drop-in days are open to any Club members who wish to attend. Each day will have a special theme and include learning activities, a healthy snack and day full of fun.

“We’re happy to provide these drop-in days for a minimal cost for our members whose parents may have to work on days school is closed,” said Communications Coordinator Emily Jarrett.

During the 2015-2016 school year, drop-in days will be held Sept. 8, Oct. 23, Oct. 26, Nov. 25, Nov. 30, Dec. 21 – 23, Dec. 28 – 30, Jan. 18 – 19, Feb. 15 – 16, March 15, March 25, March 28 – 29. As a reminder, when schools are closed due to inclement weather, neither Club sites or the drop-in facility will be open.

Club members can be dropped off from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 314 S. Washington Ave. Cost is $5 and members must bring a sack lunch. For more information speak to school Site Managers or call the Club at 660-826-8331.
