Why not let someone else do the heavy cooking this holiday season? Beginning November 2 the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri will kick off its fourth annual HoneyBaked Ham fundraiser.

Thanks to a partnership with HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia, area residents can purchase their Thanksgiving turkey breast or Christmas hams early with 25 percent of all proceeds going to the Club. Those interested will be able to choose from a variety of ham and turkey sizes, perfect for any family, whether it’s a gathering of just a few or a party for 30.

Each HoneyBaked ham is selected from the leanest hams available and finished with a sweet, crunchy glaze in the HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia store, with no water or juices added. Turkey breasts are either smoked or roasted and are also fully cooked and ready to serve.

“We’re very thankful to HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia and owner John Beverstein for, once again, giving us this great opportunity,” said Director of Development Melissa Boeschen. “Not only are these hams delicious, it’s also a great way to save some time and money for the holidays. They make great gifts and take away the hassle of cooking for a crowd.”

Those interested in ordering a HoneyBaked ham or turkey must do so through the Club. Products ordered through HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia directly will not be eligible for the 25 percent fundraiser. All products will be shipped to the Club’s Administration Office at 3100 Aaron Ave. Products cannot be shipped directly to a buyer’s home.

Thanksgiving turkey breasts and hams must be ordered by Nov. 20 and will be available for pickup between 1 and 5 p.m. on Nov. 23. Christmas turkey breasts and hams must be ordered by Dec. 15 and will be available for pickup between 1 and 5 p.m. on Dec. 17.
