The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is hoping area residents will spend some time on the links for a good cause this spring. In May, the inaugural Putting “Fore” The Kids Sedalia Golf Tournament will be held at the Sedalia Country Club, with all funds raised going to Club operations.

“With the success of the Putting ‘Fore’ The Kids golf tournament held in Cole Camp for the last few years, we wanted to give an opportunity to Sedalia golfers as well,” said Communications Coordinator Emily Jarrett. “By holding the tournament at the Sedalia Country Club, we can allow more teams to be a part of this wonderful event.”

Currently the Club is seeking teams for the four-person scramble, which will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., May 11. Lunch, golf carts and balls will all be provided with games and raffles offered at various holes. Prizes will also be given out to the top three finishers in all flights.

“The Country Club has a beautiful golf course and we’re very thankful they’re allowing us to host this tournament,” Jarrett added. “We hope area golfers will be itching to get out on the course and contribute to a great cause.”

Entry fees are $100 per person or $400 for a team of four. For more information about registering a team or sponsorship opportunities, contact Meghan Jeffreys at 660-826-8331 or go to the Putting “Fore” The Kids webpage.
