The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri raised more than $11,000 during its third annual 5K Glow Run/Walk, held Friday on the campus of State Fair Community College.

More than 260 people participated in the event, which invited runners and walkers of all ages out for a night of fun under the stars. Many wore their best “glow gear” to help light up the night, including necklaces, bracelets and more.

“We are so thankful to everyone who participated in the Glow Run. It was a great night for a great cause,” said Fundraising Director Meghan Jeffreys. “We’d especially like to thank our sponsors, including Bothwell Regional Health Center, McCarthy Toyota of Sedalia, Inter-State Studio, and State Fair Community College for their support.”

Again this year a portion of the Glow Run proceeds will be matched by SFCC to create a $1,000 scholarship for the Club’s 2017 teen Youth of the Year. Check out unofficial race times here.
