The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri raised more than $156,000 during its 26th annual An Evening of Heart & Hope, presented by W-K Chevrolet.

The event, held February 6 at the Sedalia Country Club, invited attendees to “come for the kids, stay for the fun, bid from the heart” and featured live and silent auctions, games, raffles and more.

Auction2“We are extremely grateful for all our guests, volunteers, staff, sponsors and all those who supported An Evening of Heart & Hope and rallied behind our mission to make this event a great success,” said Executive Director Jessica Pyle. “The support they showed was truly from the heart of many giving individuals.”

The auction also featured guest speaker Ryan Lefebvre – beginning begin his 18th year as the Kansas City Royals announcer – who spoke about his past and learning what it means to serve others.

“Ryan did a great job speaking about the importance of giving back and serving your community,” said Director of Development Melissa Boeschen. “The auction continues to be a success every year and we are so thankful to everyone who attended and helped put it together.”

Evening of Heart & Hope makes up about 7.5 percent of the Club’s budget and funds raised will go toward general operating expenses.
