The weather outside may not be above freezing, but the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is looking ahead to spring and the Easter holiday.

The Club is now taking orders for Easter hams, provided by HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia. For each item sold 25 percent of the proceeds will go back to the Club. With a variety of ham sizes this promotion is perfect for any Easter meal, whether it’s a gathering of just a few or a large family of 30.

Each HoneyBaked ham is selected from the leanest hams available and finished with a sweet, crunchy glaze in the HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia store, with no water or juices added. Turkey breasts, also available, are either smoked or roasted and are also fully cooked and ready to serve.

The Club previously sold HoneyBaked hams and turkeys for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, which proved a success, raising more than $1,300 for Club operations.

“The Club raised more than $1,300 through our Thanksgiving and Christmas HoneyBaked Ham fundraisers and we’re hoping the Easter fundraiser will be just as popular,” said Communications Coordinator Emily Jarrett. “We’re very thankful for our partnership with HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia and hope area residents will take advantage of this great way to avoid the kitchen this Easter.”

Those interested in ordering a HoneyBaked ham or turkey must do so through the Club. Products ordered through HoneyBaked Ham of Columbia directly will not be eligible for the 25 percent fundraiser. All products will be shipped to the Club’s Administration Office at 3100 Aaron Ave. Products cannot be shipped directly to a buyer’s home.

Easter hams and turkeys must be ordered by noon, March 30 and will be available for pickup on April 1. For more information including pricing, see the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s Facebook Page or contact Fundraising Coordinator Meghan Jeffreys at 660-826-8331 or 660-281-7313.
