page-photoAccording to a local community health assessment, one in three area residents does not participate in any leisure physical activity, putting them at risk for heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. At the Club, we believe that instilling healthy lifestyles in members early can lead them on the path to becoming healthy, productive adults.

Triple Play

The goal of the Triple Play Program is to increase the number of hours Club members participate in physical activities, as well as improve their knowledge of healthy habits and strengthen their ability to interact positively with others and engage in healthy relationships.


SMART Girls is a girls-only program that focuses on health, fitness, education and self-esteem through highly participatory activities, field trips and mentoring opportunities. Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values as they build skills for eating right, staying fit and developing positive relationships with peers and adults.

Passport to Manhood

Passport to Manhood is a boys-only program that promotes and teaches responsibility through highly interactive activities. Each participant also receives his own “passport” to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of growth and maturation.


Today’s children and young adults are more easily influenced by drugs and alcohol than ever before which is why SMART Moves is such an important program. Designed for members 6 to 15, SMART Moves teaches the dangers of unhealthy lifestyle choices through discussion, practicing resistance and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills and analyzing media and peer influences.


Computer skills and anti-cyber bullying techniques for younger Club members. 

Life Skills

Life skills programs including Cooking, Gardening, Money Management, Social and Emotional Skills programs that help develop Club members into more well-rounded teens and adults.
