It was an evening filled with singing, dancing and even a musical performance during the second annual Rising Stars Talent Show, presented by Bryant Motors, held March 30.

Club members from each of Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s 11 Club sites competed to be named the winner in front of a crowd of nearly 200 spectators. In the end, Leeton Site member Landon Corson was named the first place winner for his acapella rendition of the song “Hallelujah.”

Horace Mann Site member J’Marii Coleman won second place for his dance routine to a mash-up of songs and Cole Camp Site member Ashlyn Russell was named the third place winner for her hip-hop dance routine. The People’s Choice Award winners – which were voted on by those in the audience – was the cheer team from the Parkview Site.

“Rising Stars is always a fun night, it’s very impressive to see all the talent we have in our Club sites,” said Communications Director Emily Jarrett. “The kids all did a wonderful job; I don’t envy the judges, they had to make a really tough choice picking the winners.

“We’d like to especially thank Kyle Herrick and Bryant Motors for their continued support of the show and Boys & Girls Club.”
