Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is now offering 70% tax credits through the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Neighborhood Assistance Program. Interested buyers must own their own business or have farming income.

How tax credits help you

Instead of paying taxes to the state of Missouri, you make a charitable gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri. In return, the state awards credits that reduce your state taxes. You can also claim a charitable deduction on your federal taxes.

How tax credits help local children

Agencies must conduct projects that show youth development. Locally, Club has set several goals including:

  • Increasing reading literacy
  • Increasing knowledge of the dangers of opioid addiction and improve self-esteem to avoid dangerous behaviors
  • Increasing knowledge of bullying prevention
  • Increasing knowledge of coding/robotics in teen members

If you would like to learn more about your tax credit options, speak with your local accountant or CPA. If you would like to learn more about how purchasing tax credits can help the children at Boys & Girls Club, contact Director of Development Emily Schmidt at 660-826-8331 or eschmidt@bgckids.com.
