Congratulations to our January Youth of the Month nominees. We’d also like to give a special thanks to McDonald’s for sponsoring YOM – each Boys & Girls Club member will receive a treat for their accomplishment.

The CLUB

Olivia, 10, is the Junior Youth of the Month because, “she has been actively involved in CLUB activities, including volunteering to help fill Buddy Packs, being a featured vocalist at the Youth of the Year event, lending her artistic talent to an auction item and more. She prioritizes making sure her grades are up and making The CLUB experience fun for her and others.”

Victoria, 16, is the Teen Youth of the Month because, “she has been coming to the site occasionally to tutor younger members. She has really stepped up this month, not only because she’s helping during Power Hour, but also helps staff during program time to ensure everything runs smoothly.”

Cole Camp Site

Charlie, 9, is the Youth of the Month because, “he is a kind and caring friend to members, respectful and always helps BGC staff when asked.”

Dresden Site 

Myra, 13, is the Youth of the Month because, “she comes to Club with a smile on her face, ready to help. Myra always sows friendship, care and selflessness, and takes the lead doing projects with younger members.”

Green Ridge Site

Kitlynn is the Youth of the Month because, “she is always eager to help everyone and excited to be at Boys & Girls Club. She always jumps right in to help others without being asked.”

Heber Hunt Site 

Hadley, 7, is the Youth of the Month because, “she always makes it a point to come give a hug or chat with the staff when she comes to Club. She loves to hang out with her friends and is always willing to help others during programs. She is just a joy to have at our site.”

Horace Mann Site

Ava is the Youth of the Month because, “she loves learning new things during Club time and is ready to help in any way she can. Ava is always respectful and cares about her peers.”

La Monte Site

Anthony, 6, is the Youth of the Month because, “he works very hard on his reading during Power Hour and always listens to staff”

Leeton Site

Emma, 9, is the Youth of the Month because, “she is super helpful at our Club Site! Emma goes out of her way to help staff and fellow members, even on bad days or when she is overwhelmed with something going on in her life, she jumps in to help.”

Parkview Site

Gunner,9, is Youth of the Month because, “he’s an all-around great kid, always doing what he’s supposed to even when no one is looking. Gunner is nice to all and we love having him at our Club Site.”

Skyline Site

Hannah, 5, is the Youth of the Month because, “she is very helpful at the Club by passing out papers or helping with other tasks. Hannah also enjoys playing with her unicorns at home and going to her Grandma and Grandpa’s.”

Smithton Site

Jonas, 7, is the Youth of the Month because, “he has a great sense of humor and dedication. Jonas is a wonderful role model to younger Club members, he’s very creative and his humor brings smiles to everyone.”

Washington Site

Lason, 9, is the Youth of the Month because, “he is always the first to volunteer to help with whatever needs to be done at the site – cleaning, helping other members and making sure the community pantry is always filled on Fridays.”
