The temperatures may still be high, but Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is thinking ahead to fall: enrollment is now open for afterschool enrichment for the 2026-2027 school year.

With a focus on academic success, character and leadership development, health and well-being, and life and workforce readiness, Boys & Girls Club provides a variety of hands-on enrichment programs including homework help, STEM, literacy programs, outside play and more.

“We saw increased enrollment during our summer program and had a blast,” said CEO Patrick Stewart. “Staff are now preparing to serve more than 450 children each day during the school year. We’re excited to help these children reach their full potential.”

Parents must fill out a new membership form for each child, even if they attended BGC’s Summer Program. Forms are available online, at the Club’s Administration Office and at schools served.

In Sedalia, BGC is offered at the Sedalia Housing Authority, all elementary schools and Sedalia Middle School. Students who attend Smith-Cotton Junior High School may also enroll and will be bussed to SMS. Afterschool programs are also offered at Cole Camp, Fayette, Green Ridge, La Monte, Leeton and Smithton. Cost to attend BGC is $5 per day at most Club Sites. Financial aid and scholarships are available.
