Congratulations to our September Youth of the Month nominees. We’d also like to give a special thanks to McDonald’s for sponsoring YOM – each Boys & Girls Club member will receive a treat for their accomplishment.
The CLUB
Cooper is The CLUB’s Youth of the Month because, “of his willingness to come in and be a positive role model for his peers. He is extremely supportive of his fellow Club members and is always willing to help when needed.”
Cole Camp Site
Zella, 7, is the Cole Camp Elementary Youth of the Month because, “she is helpful, respectful and a friend to all.” Chase, 13, is the Junior Youth of the Month because, “he is a great mentor to younger member and leads many programs. He is always willing to lend a hand and we appreciate all he does for the Club.”
Dresden Site
Jorge, 13, is the Dresden Youth of the Month because, “he is always eager to help out when asked, especially during Power Hour. Jorge has stepped up and volunteered to be the Assistant All Stars Basketball Coach for the Dresden Site and always greets staff and his peers with a smile. He’s a pleasure to have at the Club.”
Green Ridge Site
Dustin, 11, is the Green Ridge Youth of the Month because, “he has been an amazing help for staff; whenever the cafeteria needs a little extra cleaning, he stays behind and helps without being asked.”
Heber Hunt Site
Katalena, 6, is the Heber Hunt Youth of the Month because, “she comes to Club with a smile on her face every day and knows what to do. She’s willing to help pick things up, even if she didn’t make the mess, and is very helpful when staff are preparing programs.”
Horace Mann Site
Logan, 10, is the Horace Mann Youth of the Month because, “his behavior and attitude have improved greatly this year. He loves to help staff with programs and cleaning and always comes to the Club with a smile on his face.”
La Monte Site
Mateo, 5, is the La Monte Site’s Elementary Youth of the Month because, “he always works hard during Power Hour homework time, practicing his letters and numbers. He loves playing with his friends and helping to pick up the baskets at the site before leaving.
Morgan, 10, is the Junior Youth of the Month because, “she has been a great help during Power Hour by sitting with the kindergarten members and helping them with their letters and numbers.”
Leeton Site
Rylea, 13, is the Leeton Site’s Youth of the Month because, “she’s a leader, patient with younger members, always willing to help staff with programs, enthusiastically participates in programs, has a positive attitude and is always in a great mood.”
Parkview Site
Carter is the Parkview Youth of the Month because, “he’s respectful, kind, follows directions and always tries his hardest.”
Skyline Site
Brittany, 9, is the Skyline Youth of the Month because, “she has been a Club member since kindergarten and is a very positive role model for younger members and always willing to help. In her free time, she likes to draw, read and do math problems. Brittany also enjoys playing softball and watching hockey and baseball.”
Smithton Site
Zane, 8, is the Smithton Youth of the Month because, “he is very respectful toward staff and is caring toward his peers. Zane enjoys playing soccer, STEAM Programs and coding.”
Washington Site
Emma, 10, is the Washington Site’s Youth of the Month because, “she always comes to the Club with a big smile is the first one to volunteer and help. This month she was especially helpful with the kindergarteners, making them feel comfortable with their new surroundings at Boys & Girls Club.”
