Congratulations to the 11 Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri members who were chosen as Elementary Youth of the Year nominees! To be named a Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Club member can receive. Each of these nominees will compete for the Elementary Youth of the Year title on January 31 at Liberty Center at the Youth of the Year event, presented by Inter-State Studio & Publishing.

Cole Camp

Miranda, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because she has a positive attitude, is a wonderful help to staff and is a great role model for her younger peers.

Heber Hunt

Aliza, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because she’s very helpful at the Club, especially with Torch Store and the Cooking Program.

Horace Mann

Elliot, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because he always does his very best to help his peers and Club staff.

La Monte

Annalynn, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because she always loves being at the Club and is full of energy when she’s there. Anna loves helping with the kindergarteners, reading to them or helping with their letters.

Leeton

Emma, 8, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because she is always excited and willing to help other members and staff without being asked. Emma is polite, demonstrates good manners every day, and never fails to brighten up someone’s day.

Parkview

Brynlee, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because she is kind, funny and works very hard on her school work.

Skyline

Guthrie, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because she is always the first to help with anything that needs to be done and always with a smile on her face. If you asked Club staff to describe Guthrie with one word it would be “kind.”

Smithton

Nolan, 9, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because he is a positive role model for his peers, he participates in programs and always has an encouraging, positive mindset at the Club.

Washington

Emmett, 8, was chosen as a Youth of the Year candidate because he is caring and kind to his peers, keeps his friends and Club staff laughing and is always helpful to those who need extra help.
