Congratulations to our November Youth of the Month nominees. We’d also like to give a special thanks to McDonald’s for sponsoring YOM – each Boys & Girls Club member will receive a treat for their accomplishment.

The CLUB

Eighth grader Daijah was chosen as Youth of the Month because, “she always comes to Club with a smile on her face and sets a great example for her peers. She is also noted for her responsibility, making sure snack is ready and marking the tally sheets every day.”

Cole Camp Site

Kindergartner Miranda is the Youth of the Month because, “she is helpful, kind, always follows directions and sets a good example for her peers.”

Dresden Site

Second grader Gunnar was chosen as the Youth of the Month because, “he always comes to Club with a smile and is eager to participate in programs. Gunnar is a strong leader amongst his peers and is always a friend to other members.”

Green Ridge Site

Third grader Devin was chosen as the Youth of the Month because, “every day when he comes to Club he is excited for what we have planned that day. He is also one of the most respectful members we have come across and is very helpful. His positive nature and respect represents not only our Club Site, but Boys & Girls Club as a whole.”

Heber Hunt Site

Fourth grader Paiton was chosen as the Youth of the Month because, “she has been a bundle of joy to have at Boys & Girls Club. She comes to Club every day ready to do her job, have fun with friends and lend a helping hand to her peers and staff.”

Horace Mann Site

The Horace Mann Site has two Youth of the Month in November – Fourth grader Taylor and third grader Isla – because, “they were both chosen for the same reasons; they’re more than happy to help staff. Isla has taken it upon herself to manage the library cart and Taylor is always volunteering to help younger members during Power Hour. Both also always have ideas to help out during Family Nights. During the most recent Family Night it was Taylor’s idea to have members, instead of staff, cook the meal.”

La Monte Site

Third grader Noah was chosen as the Youth of the Month because, “he is a great listener, very helpful to staff and enjoys reading during Power Hour.”

Leeton Site

Third grader Vanessa is the Youth of the Month because, “she always focuses on doing her homework at the Club. After she finishes, she enjoys participating in programs and helping staff.”

Smithton Site

Fifth grader Joseph is the Elementary Youth of the Month because, “he has taken on some important roles at the Club, helping our kindergarteners with basic learning skills and enjoying every minute of it. He loves robotics and playing with LEGOs.” Seventh grader Zoey is the Junior Youth of the Month because, “she’s very caring and enjoys helping others without being asked. She loves creating crafts, arts and learning life skills.”

She is a bundle of energy and is always willing to participate in programs.”
