Congratulations to our October Youth of the Month nominees. We’d also like to give a special thanks to McDonald’s for sponsoring YOM – each Boys & Girls Club member will receive a treat for their accomplishment.
The CLUB
Jerrick is the Youth of the Month because he’s always willing to help out and doesn’t complain. Jerrick also always has something funny to say and is kind to everyone around him.
Cole Camp Site
Ali is the Youth of the Month because she’s helpful, always helping staff when she sees they need it, and respectful to those around her.
Dresden Site
Harbor is the Youth of the Month because she’s kind to her peers, is always following directions and loves doing the activities we have planned. Harbor has such a fun personality and we love having her at our Club Site!
Green Ridge
Wade is the Elementary Youth of the Month because he shows creativity during every activity we do and creates a fun energy for younger members to enjoy. Wade is kind to everyone and staff appreciates his goofy personality!
Natalie is the Junior Youth of the Month because she has been a huge help to staff and a leader for her Club peers. If Natalie isn’t reading to the littles, she’s helping staff with programs or just making everyone laugh.
Heber Hunt Site
Cora is the Youth of the Month because she always comes to the Club Site to be with her friends and be a helper. She helps with Torch Store, reads to others and helps staff get activities ready. Cora is very respectful to her peers and staff and we love having her at our site.
Horace Mann Site
Leland is the Youth of the Month because he’s always helpful to staff and his peers and always has a smile on his face.
La Monte
Melissa is the Youth of the Month because she’s a great help around the Club Site, especially when it’s time to clean up. Melissa always has a positive attitude and a smile on her fact. She loves making things from the Makerspace cart and enjoys the Cooking Program.
Leeton Site
Hylea is the Youth of the Month because she’s a great young leader, is always participating in programs and because staff can trust her to do the right thing, even when no one is around.
Parkview Site
Alex is the Youth of the Month because she is kind to her friends and always offers to help.
Skyline Site
Evelyn is the Youth of the Month because she loves helping Ms. Hanna get program activities ready and cleaning up afterward. Evelyn is an awesome friend and is great at making her peers laugh.
Smithton Site
The Elementary Youth of the Month is Ava because she is always ready to go when it’s program time. Ava is the first to jump into any opportunity to help her peers or BGC staff, always has a smile on her face and brightens everyone’s day.
The Junior Youth of the Month is Connor because he’s made significant improvements in attitude and listening skills since the beginning of the year and has also stepped up with helping youngers members outside. We are very proud of his improvements and hope to see more from him as he continues to be a Club member.
Washington Site
Jeremiah is the Youth of the Month because he is always kind and respectful to everyone he meets. Jeremiah is also always the first to offer hugs and words of encouragement to others. He’s a great addition to Boys & Girls Club!
