Congratulations to our September Youth of the Month nominees. We’d also like to give a special thanks to McDonald’s for sponsoring YOM – each Boys & Girls Club member will receive a treat for their accomplishment.

The CLUB

Fifth grader Abby is The CLUB’s Youth of the Month because, “she is always the first to get involved in programs and support other members. As vice president of Torch Club, Abby helped start the Sedalia Animal Shelter drive service project last month.”

Cole Camp Site

Ninth grader Spencer is the Cole Camp Site’s Youth of the Month because, “he has developed a special bond with a first grade member with special needs. Spencer is kind and understanding to this member.”

Dresden Site

Seventh grader Abby is the Dresden Site’s Youth of the Month because, “she has displayed outstanding leadership qualities this month! She is always willing to help out when needed and follows the rules of the Club. She’s a pleasure to have at the Dresden Site.”

Heber Hunt Site

Kindergartener Allison is the Heber Hunt Site’s Youth of the Month because, “she is a bundle of joy who respects staff and her peers. When she comes to the program she hangs her backpack right up and knows exactly what to do.”

Horace Mann Site

Third grader Keyton is the Horace Mann Site’s Elementary Youth of the Month because, “he has come a long way since joining the Club! He started out shy and would only speak to Ms. Hanna but a year later he has blossomed into an amazing kiddo; he keeps us laughing and is always there to help.” The Junior Youth of the Month is fourth grader Koleman because, “he helps kindergartners and first graders with reading, always makes sure everyone is involved and doesn’t leave anyone out. He also enjoys teaching younger members to play basketball and football.”

Green Ridge Site

Fifth grader Gage is the Green Ridge Site’s Youth of the Month because, “is has been getting all his homework done during Power Hour, is very respectful and always want to help staff.”

La Monte Site

Sixth grader Levi is the La Monte Site’s Youth of the Month because, “he keeps a positive attitude throughout the day, making sure that staff are aware of any situation that may not be in the best interest of the Club. He was recently courageous and brought a situation that he felt was wrong to staff, who were able to solve the issue.”

Leeton Site

Fourth grader Spencer is the Leeton Site Youth of the Month because, “he always has a great attitude and is willing to help out whenever and wherever needed.”

Parkview Site

Karsen is the Parkview Site’s Youth of the Month because, “he does everything he is supposed to do at Club without being asked. He is also kind to everyone.”

Skyline Site

Fourth grader Taylor is the Skyline Site’s Youth of the Month because, “she is overall a great role model for the other students. She always comes to Club with a smile on her face, loves to help others, follows all expectations set for members and enjoys being there every day.”

Smithton Site

Jessie is the Smithton Site’s Elementary Youth of the Month because, “she is honest, caring and humble. She enjoys helping Club members and staff whenever asked, always walks in with a smile on her face and brightens everyone’s day with her personality.”

Fifth grader Raiden is the Junior Youth of the Month because, “he is very honest, helpful and enjoyable to be around. He gets along with other Club members and looks out for any way he can help and make Boys & Girls Club a fun and safe environment to be in.”
