The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri’s 32nd annual Evening of Heart & Hope, presented by The W-K Family of Dealerships, raised more than $145,000 for local children, including more than $11,000 in Whatever It Takes Scholarship funds, thanks to generous support from the Sedalia area community.

“After last year’s virtual event, the 2022 Evening of Heart & Hope proved it was time to make up for lost time together,” said Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Gary Beckman. “You could feel the energy in the room; it was great to hear everyone’s laughter and enthusiasm to come together to benefit local kiddos.”

The event, held February 19 at the Missouri Agriculture Building, had a Mardi Gras theme and featured more than 70 auction items, including several dinners, signed sports memorabilia, trips and getaways, luxury purses and more.

“Once again the Sedalia area has shown their generous spirit and why this is truly a great place to live,” Beckman said. “We are deeply appreciative.”
