It was a beautiful day to spend outside for a great cause Monday, as Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri hosted the ninth annual Putting “Fore” The Kids Golf Tournament, presented by McCarthy Toyota of Sedalia. A record setting 36 teams competed for top honors and bragging rights at the tournament which raised more than $23,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs programs.
“We’re so thankful to the community for showing up and supporting Boys & Girls Club, especially on such a hot day,” said Executive Director Gary Beckman. “This is one of the best golf outings we’ve had with a record number of teams and the support comes at a perfect time: our Summer Program is seeing a record number of children each day. We’re so appreciative of the support of our programs.”
Men’s A Flight first place winners were Jaron Lucchesi, Chris Squires and Adam Tilley with a 58. Second place winners were Amy Lindgren, John Knipfel and Doug Meagher with a 60.
Men’s B Flight first place winners were Cliff Callis, Bobby Hayden and Mark Wolfe with a 67. Second place winners were Paul Hagan, Barry Henderson and David Lloyd.
Women’s Flight first place winners were Kathy Beykirch, Debbie Fillinger and Trish Henson with a 62. Second place winners were Janis Clemens, Christy Goodman and Sherry Kempton with a 64.
