The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is hoping area residents will help “Restore The Roar” by cheering on the University of Missouri Tigers basketball team.

In 2014, a group of local residents created the Restore The Roar group to cheer on former Sedalian Kim Anderson during his first year coaching the Mizzou men’s basketball team. After a successful first year, the group decided to up the stakes this year with proceeds benefitting the Boys & Girls Club.

“We are so excited to be part of Restore The Roar,” said Club Director of Development Melissa Boeschen. “Last year a portion of the proceeds came to the Club and we’re happy to have a more hands-on partnership this year. This is a great event that would be a perfect early Christmas present for any basketball fan.”

Those interested have two ways to “Roar:” Package 1 includes tickets to three games (December 19 versus North Carolina State, January 12 versus Arkansas, and February 16 versus South Carolina,) transportation to and from Mizzou Arena courtesy of Ditzfeld Transfer, a catered meal and adult beverages on the way to the game and an official “Restore The Roar” T-shirt. Cost is $160 per person.

Package 2 includes tickets to three games (December 19 versus North Carolina State, January 12 versus Arkansas, and February 16 versus South Carolina,) and a “Restore The Roar” T-shirt. Cost is $80 per person.

“Restore The Roar is not only a great way to show your Mizzou pride, but it’s also a great deal,” Boeschen added. “We appreciate the support of the Restore The Roar committee and all their work to make this event a success”
