The holidays are quickly approaching and with them the hustle and bustle of the season. While children are likely looking forward to a day off school, parents may be worrying about where their children will go while they are at work.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri will once again offer several drop-in days during the season, giving children a safe, fun place to go when school is not in session.

“We know sometimes parents’ holiday and work schedules don’t always match up with their child’s so hosting these drop-in days is a simple solution,” said Communications Coordinator Emily Jarrett. “Kids get to have a fun day filled with learning programs and parents have peace of mind that their child is safe and not just sitting in front of the TV all day.”

For the Thanksgiving holiday, the Club will host drop-in days on November 25 and 30. The Club will be closed on November 26 and 27.

For the Christmas holidays, the Club will host drop-in days on December 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. The Club will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Drop-in days take place from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at The CLUB, 314 S. Washington Ave. Cost is $5 per day and members should bring a sack lunch. For more information call the Club at 660-826-8331.
