The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri hosted its National Fine Arts Exhibit Thursday, showcasing more than 35 pieces of artwork created by members.
The annual event invites members from the Club’s 11 sites to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art, ranging from drawings to paintings to mixed media to sculpture. A blind judging by Club staff members names winners in several age groups for each category.
The first place pieces will go on to compete at the regional National Fine Arts level with Clubs from across Midwest region. Winners will then compete at the national level and be showcased at several Boys & Girls Clubs of America conferences and events.
